We have incorporated a number of energy and water efficiency measures to ensure environmental responsibility.
Solar Design
All homes will be required to be placed on the blocks in such a way as to maximise the living spaces in the north to north east, providing us with the best possible solar design outcomes.
Energy Efficiency Ratings
All homes will be energy rated and supplied a star rating certificate, certifying your home has achieved a rating of “five stars” or better. This ensures your home meets the best energy standards, reducing the cost of heating and cooling. It will also make your home a much more pleasant place to live and should help in any resale in the future.
Energy Efficient Hot Water Systems
We will be providing gas boosted solar hot water systems or heat pump hot water systems. These are the most efficient water heating methods available and will minimise your water heating costs.
E-vents
All roofs will be durable Colorbond metal and include an e-vent for every 150m2 of roof space. The Colorbond roof heats and cools quickly and, combined with the e-vent’s ability to remove heat from the roof space, will reduce your reliance on air conditioning.
Water Storage Tanks
Water storage tanks will be fitted to every home. These are a 2,500 litre under eave tank. They fill up using rain water, which can then be used in the laundry or for flushing toilets. Along with reducing the amount of tap water used in the home, it also reduces stormwater run-off. The water can also be used for reticulation.
Waterwise Landscaping
Front landscaping will be designed to WaterWise standards and will minimise lawn areas. Again, this will ensure the minimum amount of upkeep and water required to keep your garden looking good. We can also provide a price for landscaping your rear gardens with a WaterWise concept should you so wish. This landscaping will occur within four weeks of the completion of your home.
